About Will Kirby
Will Kirby has worked in Conservation Science at RSPB for over 20 years, involved in projects investigating the causes of decline in birds of conservation concern and developing measures to improve their status. From farmland Skylark, Lapwing and Yellow Wagtail to urban House Sparrows, recent projects have focussed mainly on woodland specialists. Will currently leads the RSPB Hawfinch project with fieldwork sites in north and south Wales “Hawfinches are, without a doubt, the trickiest species I’ve ever worked on”.
